I passed

Yesterday, I went for my ‘undang’ test, or should I use ‘Rules and Regulations on the Road’ theoretical test or ‘Theory for Road Safety’ test to replace the word ‘undang’? No idea, let’s stick back to ‘undang’, sounds more pleasant to the ear.

After having my breakfast in a coffee shop in SS15, I then heading towards the exam place to do the test. My mother ‘suddenly’ only realize that I am wearing shorts, and then she went mad. She is afraid that I am not able to take the test, as in a Muslim country shorts are not allow to wear in formal ceremony, although the shorts is below my knee level.

Not that I am not aware of this, is just I feel comfortable wearing shorts rather then jeans. Jeans are long, thick, and I feel quite warm wearing it, whereas shorts are most likely ‘ventilated’, so they are more comfortable to wear on. Luckily I brought my spare jeans at first, because I also scared that the officer doesn’t allow me to take the exam as I was wearing my shorts.

After settled with my jeans issue, I walk in to the place. I was pleasant to see some of my ex-schoolmate in there too. I sat down and have some talk with them. After chatting some time, I only realized that I haven’t register. I quickly stood up and head towards the counter. The lady officer saw my action and secretly laughs at me. I said ‘secretly’ is because I know that she is trying to hide the smile on her face away from me. Well, I am not offended because I knew that sometimes my childish actions do entertain other people without my notices.

I am patiently waiting at the waiting hall. Not for long, my name was called out and the lady officer again directs me to the exam hall. We need to answer this ‘undang’ test through computer under E-khidmat Company. I was nervous for the first part, which is about colour blindness. The problem is not about the colour, but it is about the mistake that I would made, such as click the wrong button and submit the wrong answer. For your knowledge, a single mistake in that colour blindness part, you are directly banded to continue the test. This not only wasted your time waiting and the money earlier, it also cost you to pay extra money to re-sit for the exam. Meanwhile, you are required to go to the specific office to fill up some forms and required to go for an eye check with the government doctor. After the report from the doctor sends out to assure that you are not colour blindness, then only you can re-sit the exam. Such a complicated process!

I read the questions as careful as I can and answer it. At last, I correct all the questions at the colour blindness part. Next part was the sign, logo, ethics during driving, and the rules and regulations on the road for beginner. I have to score 84% which means 42 questions out of 50 questions in order to pass this examination. After 14 minutes and 17 seconds, I finally have done all the questions, not confidently. I waiting for the results anxiously and the moment have come!!!

I try my very best to stay clam and check the results. I somehow get confuse and didn’t know what am I seeing. After I am recover from the severe concussion, I finally saw the word ‘markah anda’ is 42/50, then ‘keputusan anda: lulus’.

WAHAHAHAHA!!! I passed my exam!!! This result still scared me because I was at the border line, any question that they consider wrong marking, although I know the possibility is low, and then I will fail!! Thank God, I passed.
